Cara joined Lone Star Family Dental in 2020, right in the heart of the pandemic, and instantly became a beloved part of our family. A proud graduate of Texas Woman’s University, she completed her dental hygiene degree in 2017 and is now continuing to advance her education with a Master’s in Dental Hygiene at TWU. Her commitment to growth, learning, and patient care is just one of the many reasons her many “Cara-Only” patients are so fiercely loyal to her.

Born and raised in Allen, Cara now calls Melissa home, where she lives with her husband, Ethan, their adorable daughter Penelope, and another sweet baby girl on the way in February 2026. She also has two dogs, Maple and Honey, whom she loves deeply… just maybe a little less enthusiastically since becoming a mom (we get it, it happens). Cara is a big fan of reading and an even bigger fan of Justin Bieber. 

Patients love Cara for her gentle approach, her genuine care, and the comfort she brings to every appointment. She’s not just a skilled hygienist, she’s someone who treats you like a friend, remembers your story, and makes dental visits something to look forward to.

Courtney has been part of the Lone Star Family Dental team since 2017 and has been a dental hygienist for 15 years. She is a proud Aggie who earned her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M, then completed her dental hygiene program at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She has experience in both general and pediatric dentistry, and while kiddos will always have a special place in her heart, her favorite part of the job is making people smile and helping even the most nervous patients get excited about dental visits.

Her connection to Lone Star runs deep. Courtney and Paige McElvain have been best friends since birth, thanks to their bestie moms who were pregnant with them at the same time. They like to say they’ve been best friends since the womb, and that lifelong bond is what brought Courtney to the practice.

Outside of work, Courtney loves traveling, concerts, spending time with friends, and pairing the perfect glass of wine with a good (or bad) day. She is an espresso girl at heart and firmly believes pumpkin spice season should last all year. Known in the office for her big personality, friendly conversation, and laughter you can hear from any hallway, Courtney brings energy and warmth to every appointment, especially for the little ones who can’t wait to see her again.

Kilee joined our team after graduating from Texas Woman’s University in 2022 and quickly became a favorite among patients. She chose dental hygiene because she loves building relationships and creating a comfortable space for every person in her chair. Her gentle personality and easy conversation help even the most nervous patients relax.

Kilee grew up right here in the Allen area and recently married her husband, Dylan, in June 2026. They are excited to be building a home together in McKinney and putting down roots in the community they love. When she’s not caring for patients or cheering on her favorite football team, she’s usually curled up with a gripping mystery novel or rewatching The Vampire Diaries for the millionth time.
Kilee brings kindness, calm energy, and a caring touch to our practice, and we are so glad she is part of the Lone Star family.

Paige is one of our wonderful dental hygienists. She and Dr. McElvain met while attending Baylor College of Dentistry, and the rest is history. Together, they opened the practice in 2015 and worked tirelessly to build the warm, family centered office that exists today.

Originally from Sunnyvale, Paige now lives in Lucas with Dr. McElvain and their three wonderful kids, Nixon, Audrey, and Gavin. She is not in the office as often these days, since her children’s hybrid school schedule keeps her busy being a full time mom and a part time teacher, but she is always ready to jump in and save the day when the team needs her.

Paige loves traveling, working out, and spending time with her family. She is always up for an adventure with the kids, which is exactly how they ended up with pet chickens. Patients and team members love her calm presence, her kindness, and the joy she brings whenever she steps into the office.

Colleen has been a part of Lone Star Family Dental for 8 years, but her journey in dentistry began 12 years ago when she was just 19. She first met Dr. McElvain while working at a corporate dental office in Flower Mound, and after both moved on, he later invited her to join Lone Star. At the time, she was pursuing a degree in early education, but with encouragement from the McElvains, she chose to stay in dentistry, a decision she now calls one of the best she ever made.

To Colleen, Lone Star is more than a workplace. It is a second family she’s grown with and poured her heart into, and she feels grateful for the relationships she’s built with the McElvains, the team, and our patients.

Outside the office, she and her husband, Nathan, stay busy keeping up with their two little boys, Miles and Cameron. Their days together are filled with trips to the park, anything involving trains, and adventure walks. When she finds a quiet moment, Colleen enjoys crocheting, crafting with her Cricut, and cooking. She is soaking in this sweet season of life, one busy and joy filled day at a time.

Maddie has been part of the Lone Star Family Dental team as one of our dental assistants for three years and brings energy, skill, and a friendly smile to every appointment. She loves the variety her role provides and the chance to use her hands on skills in so many different ways.

In December 2025, Maddie and her husband are welcoming their first baby, a little boy, making it an exciting year for their growing family. She grew up in Wylie and moved back to the area to be closer to family. When she’s not at work, Maddie enjoys crafting, spending time with her husband and their two cats, and catching the latest movies in theaters- they’re both big film buffs.

Maddie is also a devoted fan of her hometown teams, cheering on the Mavs, Cowboys, and Rangers whenever she can. Some of her favorites include iced white chocolate mochas, tacos (her forever meal), and rewatching Gilmore Girls and The Vampire Diaries every year. If she could hop on a plane tomorrow, she’d head back to Paris or check Japan off her travel list.

Tiffany has been part of the Lone Star Family Dental team for two years, working in our front office to help appointments run smoothly and insurance questions get handled with care. She’s often one of the first friendly faces patients see and loves making treatment plans feel easy and seamless.

Originally from Wylie, Tiffany served in the Army and lived in Louisiana before returning home in 2016 to be near family. She is now a proud mom of three, Brooklyn, Levi, and Liam, who keep her laughing and on the go. When she’s not at work, Tiffany enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, and in the quiet moments, reading a good book.

Tiffany is known around the office for her cheerful energy and frequent impromptu singing. She loves Italian food, anything smothered in her dad’s barbecue sauce, peppermint hot chocolate, and would gladly hop on a plane tomorrow to visit her sister and nieces in Guam.

 Jyrriell has been part of the Lone Star Family Dental team for one year, helping patients navigate the sometimes tricky world of insurance while making sure appointments run smoothly. She takes pride in being someone patients can rely on for clear explanations and friendly support.

Originally from New Orleans, Jyrriell moved to Texas in 2022 after welcoming her son, Kylo. She is a full-time student at Collin College and is preparing to apply to the dental hygiene program at TWU. When she’s not at work or school, she enjoys cooking, rom-coms, spending time with her 3-year-old, and attending Bible study at One Community Church.

Around the office, Jyrriell is known for her ever-changing hairstyles, her creativity, and her fun personality. Her favorite coffee is the seasonal Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai, and if she could eat one meal forever it would be Lebanese food from her hometown favorite, Lebanon’s. We’re constantly impressed by how she balances full-time work, full-time school, and motherhood with grace and energy.

Jasmine is one of our amazing dental assistants. Before joining Lone Star Family Dental, she worked at a local eyelash studio where she met Paige. Her friendliness, professionalism, and calming presence impressed Paige, and when she mentioned she was looking for a new opportunity, Paige knew she’d be the perfect fit for our team, and she was right!

Since joining, Jasmine has grown quickly in her role and recently became an official Registered Dental Assistant. Her calm, caring personality helps patients feel comfortable in the chair, and her warm smile brightens the office every day.

Jasmine is from Blue Ridge, TX, and loves spending time with her boyfriend Austin, helping out on his farm work, and relaxing with her dog. She’s a big fan of classic country music and helps keep our office playlist lively!

Vika is a skilled and experienced dental assistant who has been part of the Lone Star Family Dental family for several years. After having her daughter in 2023, she now works with us on a flexible schedule, stepping in whenever extra hands are needed. Her expertise and calm, caring approach make her a favorite among both patients and the team.

Originally from Russia, Vika has lived in Minnesota and Oregon before moving to Texas for a new adventure and the opportunities the area offers. They now call Anna home, though Vika frequently travels back to Oregon to visit family. She and her husband have a two year old daughter, Allison, and are excitedly expecting a baby boy in February 2026.

Though she isn’t in the office as often as we’d like, Vika’s presence is always appreciated, and her warmth, professionalism, and gentle care make her an invaluable part of the Lone Star team.
